Sergeant Crowley, the sole class act in this trio, helps the handicapped Professor Gates down the stairs, while Barack Obama, heedless of the infirmities of his friend and fellow victim of self-defined racial profiling, strides ahead on his own. So who is compassionate? And who is so self-involved and arrogant that he is oblivious?

In my own dealings with the wealthy and powerful, I have always found that the way to quickly capture the moral essence of a person is to watch how they treat those who are less powerful. Do they understand that the others are also human beings with feelings? Especially when they think nobody is looking.

The black professor and white cop at the center of a race relations dispute that garnered international attention when President Obama dove into the discussion are ready to toast and make up during a White House "beer summit" Thursday evening.

Weather permitting, Harvard Professor Henry Gates and Cambridge, Mass., police Sgt. James Crowley will meet with the president over beers at a picnic table attached to Malia and Sasha Obama's swing set.

It will be a crowded table. Crowley is bringing his family as well as his police union head and lawyer. Gates may bring friends or family.

(I think the only one who behaved with any dignity at all, in this absurd event, is Sgt. Crowley. Obama went off AFTER declaring he had NO IDEA what happened (as always seduced by the sound of his own voice) and Prof. Gates' attitude was equally ridiculous. I love that Sgt. Crowley is bringing the head of the police union AND HIS LAWYER! I think Bama is not used to being in the presence of anyone who is not madly in love with him. This should be a very interesting and painful (for Uhbama) exchange.)

They believed that Obama had some magic he would perform to bring all the ugliness in the world to light and vanquish it. Instead, Obama is happy to bow to the ugliness and pander those who hate America and Israel. As I said election day, "Obama will be terrible for this country and absolutely ruinous for Israel."

JERUSALEM – President Obama's policies against Jewish construction in eastern Jerusalem and the strategic West Bank were slammed as "racist" today by participants in a rally drawing about 2,000 Israelis in front of the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem.

"George Mitchell go home!" yelled protestors in front of the U.S. government building.

Mitchell, Obama's envoy to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, is here discussing the American administration's call for a halt to all Jewish settlement activity, including natural growth or accommodating the needs of existing Jewish populations in the areas in question.

The protest began in front of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's official residence. Marchers then made their way to the U.S. consulate about one block away.

"Obama should not be pressing Israel to compromise and freeze building in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem," protest organizer Yaacov Steinberg told WND.

"All these steps in the past just brought more Palestinian terror and showed Israeli weakness," said Steinberg, director of a coalition of West Bank Jewish organizations.

Speaking at the rally, Rabbi Eliezer Waldman, who heads the prestigious "Nir" Torah seminary in the West Bank city of Kiryat Arba, called Obama a "racist."

"How dare he tell the Jews where they can or can't live! The era when Jews were banned from living in different places has ended," Waldman exclaimed.

"Obama beware. This insolence will bring about the downfall of the American leadership. Anyone who dares give an order to prevent Israeli life in Jerusalem or anywhere else in the land of Israel is destined to fall," he said.

Pinchas Wallerstein, director of the Yesha council of Jewish communities in the West Bank, told the crowds, "This week the American pressure reached new highs that are a shame to democratic societies."

Wallerstein was referring to the summoning of Israel's ambassador to Washington last week by the State Department to demand a Jewish construction project in eastern Jerusalem be immediately halted.

"It's absolutely an outrageously racist policy," Mort Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America, told WND. "Especially in light of how Obama should be sensitive when it comes to anything that would remotely constitute discrimination of people based on ethnicity or religion."

The clock ticking, House and Senate lawmakers scrambled to advance a health care reform package Tuesday even though Democratic leaders have admitted that neither chamber will be able to approve a bill before the August recess.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Monday night that a floor vote on health care reform "clearly will not be possible" by Friday.

But House Democrats are trying to at least pass their version of the bill out of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the only House panel yet to vote on the package, this week.

And Senate Democrats are trying to do the same in the Senate Finance Committee. (Bastards! You know what to do; call your senators, representatives, the White House, etc.)

Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory (see trends).

These updates are based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. Why Obama Injected Race Into the Healthcare Debate

Barack Obama, in his prime-time pitch to the American people on nationalized medical insurance, made sure that he was soft-served a question on the status of arrested black professor at Harvard Henry Louis Gates Jr. The professor, who is director of Harvard's W.E.B. Dubois institute, was reported for breaking into his own house. When the police arrived, the professor allegedly shouted the police down and he was arrested for "tumultuous behavior," later to be cleared of the charges. Obama, who admitted up front that he was "biased" because the professor was his friend, said that the police had acted "stupidly." This blase attitude toward the presumption of innocence is consistent with Obama's pattern of shooting any and all issues through a racial prism and his blatant disregard for the rule of law.

The obviously scripted question-and-answer is another sign that Obama is keeping race relations perpetually agitated so that people are pitted against each other over a racial red herring instead of united against the government's power grabs. He wants talk radio conservatives to grab the bait and focus on such issues as Jeremiah Wright, which amazingly failed to condemn Obama for being a racist. Indeed, the Democrat machine beautifully twisted the Jeremiah Wright affair into an argument that his conservative critics are actually the racists. Far from being "post-racial" Obama is the quintessential reverse racist.

It is interesting why Obama chose the occasion of an important speech on nationalized medicine to yet again bring up the issue of race. But when you're going to your rice bowl of using mellifluousness to dissuade people out of acting in their own self-interests, you might as well pour on the gravy train that got you to the White House to begin with. On the presidential campaign trail, then Senator Obama gave a major speech on race relations that Professor Gates made a point of citing, "you can fax it into the anthologies of great political speeches." Yet no one even remembers what Obama said that was so groundbreaking; it was another speech full of mind-numbing platitudes that lulls one into a dreamy netherworld of "false consciousness." Far from being a complete non-sequiter, race is the theme that drives the Obama presidency, and he is not about to let anyone forget it.

White House declines to disclose visits by health industry executives

Reporting from Washington -- Invoking an argument used by President George W. Bush, the Obama administration has turned down a request from a watchdog group for a list of health industry executives who have visited the White House to discuss the massive healthcare overhaul.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington sent a letter to the Secret Service asking about visits from 18 executives representing health insurers, drug makers, doctors and other players in the debate. The group wants the material in order to gauge the influence of those executives in crafting a new healthcare policy.

  Obama urges action, not just politics,...

The Secret Service sent a reply stating that documents revealing the frequency of such visits were considered presidential records exempt from public disclosure laws. The agency also said it was advised by the Justice Department that the Secret Service was within its rights to withhold the information because of the "presidential communications privilege."

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics said it would file suit against the Obama administration as early as today. The group already has sued the administration over its failure to release details about visits from coal industry executives.

A White House spokesman, Ben LaBolt, said, "We are reviewing our policy on access to visitor logs and related litigation."

As a candidate, President Obama vowed that in devising a healthcare bill he would invite in TV cameras -- specifically C-SPAN -- so that Americans could have a window into negotiations that normally play out behind closed doors.

Having promised transparency, the administration should be willing to disclose who it is consulting in shaping healthcare policy, said an attorney for the citizens' group. In its letter requesting the records, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics asked about visits from Billy Tauzin, president of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America; Karen Ignagni, president of America's Health Insurance Plans; William Weldon, chairman and CEO of Johnson & Johnson; and J. James Rohack, president of the American Medical Assn., among others.

"It's extremely disappointing," said Anne Weismann, the group's chief counsel. Obama is relying on a legal argument that "continues one of the bad, anti-transparency, pro-secrecy approaches that the Bush administration had taken. And it seems completely at odds with the president's commitment . . . to bring a new level of transparency to his government."

By the way, it's only disappointing to the fools who believed what Obama said. The other half of this country is not the least bit surprised by any of this.

Dershowitz doesn't get it

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | Alan Dershowitz is one of the most prolific, high-profile and indefatiguable defenders of Israel and the Jewish people against the tidal wave of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish feeling currently coursing through the west. So a piece by him in the Wall Street Journal giving expression to the rising anxiety being felt about Obama by American Jews naturally arouses great interest.

But just like the majority of American Jews, getting on for 80 per cent of whom voted for Obama, he is a Democrat supporter who is incapable of acknowledging the truth about this President. For most American Jews, the horror of even entertaining the hypothetical possibility that they might ever in a million years have to vote for a Republican is so great they simply cannot see what is staring them in the face — that this Democratic President is lethal for both Israel and the free world. And in this article Dershowitz shows that he too is just as blind.

Acknowledging the anxiety among some American Jews about Obama's attitude to Israel, Dershowitz concludes uneasily that there isn't really a problem here because all Obama is doing is putting pressure on Israel over the settlements, which most American Jews don't support anyway. But this is totally to miss the point. The pressure over the settlements per se is not the reason for the intense concern.

It is instead, first and foremost, the fact that Obama is treating Israel as if it is the obstacle to peace in the Middle East. Obama thus inverts aggressor and victim, denying Israel's six-decade long victimization and airbrushing out Arab aggression. The question remains: why has Obama chosen to pick a fight with Israel while soft-soaping Iran which is threatening it with genocide? The answer is obvious: Israel is to be used to buy off Iran just as Czechoslovakia was used at Munich. Indeed, I would say this is worse even than that, since I suspect that Obama — coming as he does from a radical leftist milieu, with vicious Israel-haters amongst his closest friends — would be doing this to Israel even if Iran was not the problem that it is.

In any event, the double standard is egregious. Obama has torn up his previous understandings with Israel over the settlements while putting no pressure at all on the Palestinians, even though since they are the regional aggressor there can be no peace unless they end their aggression and certainly not until they accept Israel as a Jewish state, which they have said explicitly they will never do. On this, Obama is totally silent. So too is Dershowitz. That's some omission.

Next, Obama is pressuring Israel to set up a Palestine state — within two years this will exist, swaggers Rahm Emanuel. But everyone knows that as soon as Israel leaves the West Bank, Hamas — or even worse — will take over. The only reason the (also appalling) Abbas is still in Ramallah, enabling Obama to pretend there is a Palestinian interlocutor for peace, is because the Israelis are keeping Hamas at bay. Yet Dershowitz writes:

There is no evidence of any weakening of American support for Israel's right to defend its children from the kind of rocket attacks candidate Obama commented on during his visit to Sderot.

So what exactly does he think would happen if Israel came out of the West Bank and the Hamas rockets were down the road from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv (literally: many in the west have absolutely no idea how tiny Israel is). It's not a question of Israel's 'right to defend its children'. If Obama has his way, Israel would not be able to defend its children or anyone else, because Obama would have removed its defences by putting its enemies in charge of them. It is astounding that Dershowitz can't see this.

Then there was Obama's appalling Cairo speech in which he conspicuously refrained from committing himself to defending Zionism and the Jewish people from the attacks and incitement to genocide against them, but committed himself instead to defending their attackers against 'negative stereotyping'. On this, Dershowitz has nothing to say.

Worse still, by falsely asserting that the Jewish aspiration for Israel derived from the Holocaust, Obama effectively denied that the Jewish people were in Israel as of right and thus endorsed the core element of the Arab and Muslim propaganda of war and extermination. On this, Dershowitz has nothing to say.

Obama drew a vile — and telling — equivalence between the Nazi extermination camps and the Palestinian 'refugee' camps. On this, Dershowitz has nothing to say. Obama's statement that the Palestinians 'have suffered in pursuit of a homeland' was grossly and historically untrue, and again denied Arab aggression. On this, Dershowitz has nothing to say. Equally vilely, Obama equated genocidal terrorism by the Palestinians with the civil rights movement in America and the resistance against apartheid in South Africa. On all of this, Dershowitz has nothing to say.

Dershowitz also grossly underplays the terrible harm Obama is doing to the security not just of Israel but the world through his reckless appeasement of Iran. In the last few weeks, this has actively undercut the Iranian democrats trying to oust their tyrannical regime, and has actually strengthened that regime. All the evidence suggests ever more strongly that Obama has decided America will 'live with' a nuclear Iran, whatever it does to its own people. Which leaves Israel hung out to dry.

But even here, where he is clearly most concerned, Dershowitz scuttles under his comfort blanket — Dennis Ross, who was originally supposed to have been the US special envoy to Iran but was recently announced senior director of the National Security Council and special assistant to the President for the region. It is not at all clear whether this ambiguous development represents a promotion or demotion for Ross. Either way, for Dershowitz to rest his optimism that Obama's Iran policy will be all right on the night entirely upon the figure of Dennis Ross is pathetic. Ross, a Jew who played Mr Nice to Robert Malley's Mr Nasty towards Israel in the Camp David debacle under President Clinton, is clearly being used by Obama as a human shield behind which he can bully Israel with impunity. American Jews assume that his proximity to Obama means the President's intentions towards Israel are benign. Dazzled by this vision of Ross as the guarantor of Obama's good faith, they thus ignore altogether the terrible import of the actual words coming out of the President's mouth.

The fact is that many American Jews are so ignorant of the history of the Jewish people, the centrality of Israel in its history and the legality and justice of its position that they probably saw nothing wrong in Obama saying that the Jewish aspiration for Israel came out of the Holocaust because they think this too. Nor do they see the appalling double standard in the bullying of Israel over the settlements and what that tells us about Obama's attitude towards Israel, because — as Dershowitz himself makes all too plain — they too think in much the same way, that the settlements are the principal obstacle to peace.

Many if not most American Jews have a highly sentimentalized view of Israel. They never go there, are deeply ignorant of its history and current realities, and are infinitely more concerned with their own view of themselves as social liberals, a view reflected back at themselves through voting for a Democrat President.

Whatever else he is, however, Dershowitz is certainly not ignorant. Which makes this lamentable article all the more revealing, and depressing.

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new government-run health plan. Yet all Democrats -- with the exceptions of acting chairman Chris Dodd, Barbara Mikulski and Ted Kennedy via proxy -- voted nay.

In other words, Sherrod Brown and Sheldon Whitehouse won't themselves join a plan that "will offer benefits that are as good as those available through private insurance plans -- or better," as the Ohio and Rhode Island liberals put it in a recent op-ed. And even a self-described socialist like Vermont's Bernie Sanders, who supports a government-only system, wouldn't sign himself up.

Of course, they also qualify now for generous Congressional coverage. Most Americans won't have the same choice. Some will be transferred to the new entitlement as it uses its taxpayer bankroll to dominate insurance markets. Others work for businesses that will find it easier to dump their policies and move employees to the federal rolls. Democrats also know that the public option will try to control health spending by squeezing payments made to doctors and hospitals, and by not paying for treatments that Washington decides are too expensive, which will result in inferior care.

No doubt Mr. Dodd acceded to the Coburn amendment to blunt such objections, and in any case he'll strip it out later in some backroom. Judd Gregg was the only GOP Senator to oppose it, on humanitarian grounds. As he told us in an interview, the public option "will be so bad that I don't think anyone should be forced to join."

Islamic Supremacist Group Holds First U.S. Conference

The Khilafah Conference 2009 is scheduled to be held July 19, 2009 at the Hilton Oak Lawn hotel.

A group committed to establishing an international Islamic empire and reportedly linked to Al Qaeda is stepping up its Western recruitment efforts by holding its first official conference in the U.S.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is a global Sunni network with reported ties to confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Al Qaeda in Iraq's onetime leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. It has operated discreetly in the U.S. for decades.

Now, it is coming out of the shadows and openly hosting a July 19 conference entitled, "The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam," at a posh Hilton hotel in a suburb of Chicago.

Hizb ut-Tahrir insists that it does not engage in terrorism, and it is not recognized by the State Department as a known terror group.

But some terrorism experts say it may be even more dangerous than many groups that are on the terror list.

"Hizb ut-Tahrir is one of the oldest, largest indoctrinating organizations for the ideology known as jihadism," Walid Phares, director of the Future of Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told FOXNews.com.

Phares said that Hizb ut-Tahrir, rather than training members to carry out terrorist acts like Al Qaeda, focuses instead on indoctrinating youths between ages of 9 and 18 to absorb the ideology that calls for the formation of an empire — or "khilafah" — that will rule according to Islamic law and condones any means to achieve it, including militant jihad.

Hizb ut-Tahrir often says that its indoctrination "prepares the infantry" that groups like Al Qaeda take into battle, Phares said.

"It's like a middle school that prepares them to be recruited by the high school, which is Al Qaeda," he said. "One would compare them to Hitler youth. ... It's an extremely dangerous organization."

Our plans are to protest across the street from the Oak Lawn Hilton Hotel on the public sidewalks of West 94th Street and South Cicero Avenue.  We expect to move between that corner and slightly down the block, which is across the street from the Oak Lawn Hilton Hotel.

In the morning, we plan to be directly across the street from the entrance to the Oak Lawn Hilton Hotel on the sidewalk near the Charter One Bank (closed on Sunday) on West 94th Street in the morning from about 9 to 11 AM to stand defiant to those HTA supporters driving to the conference (appx. at 4755-4761 West 94th Street area.)  After the 11 AM start of the HTA conference, we will move to the corner of West 94th Street and South Cicero Avenue to address more of the traffic in the area.   The corner of West 94th Street and South Cicero Avenue is at the front of the Charter One Bank public sidewalk area.  It’s address is 9401 S. Cicero Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453; we also plan to be on the side of bank area public sidewalk as well.

We have discussed our specific protest plans with the Oak Lawn Police Department and they have no problem with the exercise of our First Amendment rights to protest against Hizb ut-Tahrir’s conference across the street from the Oak Lawn Hilton Hotel.   We have also advised the Oak Lawn Police Department of the nature and ideology of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, in the event there are any confrontations.  We have also advised the Oak Lawn Police Department of our plans to use R.E.A.L.’s small amplified sound system, and they have no problem with that.   In addition, we discussed our plans with Oak Lawn Police Department Commander Tom Simon, who is also fine with our plans.  For our information, he pointed out the Oak Lawn Municipal Code regarding “parades,” which requires a permit if we have 10 or more individuals at our rally.  Right now, we are expecting about 4 to 5.  The Code also defines general standards of conduct for “parades” that might generally apply to a First Amendment protest.

We urge those in the Chicago area, and those with the means to travel to Chicago for the day (as Oak Lawn is a 10 minute shuttle ride from Chicago’s Midway Airport), to join us on July 19 so that this first major public event by the Islamic supremacist Hizb ut-Tahrir is publicly opposed by those of who believe in democracy and who are Responsible for Equality And Liberty.

House Democrats' health care reform bill would create a mind-boggling "web of bureaucracy," Republican critics charged Wednesday as they sought to block Democrats from hastily passing a costly and sweeping health package on orders from President Obama. 

Stressing his point, House Minority Leader John Boehner unveiled a dizzying flow chart that he said would represent how health care coverage would look under the plan being pushed by House Democrats. 

The chart shows the president and Congress at the top, with dozens of agencies and officials responsible for various slices of the health care program underneath. 

The suggestion inherent in the chart is that the health care system would grind to a near-halt under the Democrats' plan.

"If anybody thinks that all of this bureaucracy is needed to fix our health care system, I plainly disagree," Boehner said. "What this is going to do is ration care, limit the choices that patients and doctors have and really decrease the quality of our health care system." 

Estimates of the House Democrats' plan range from $1 trillion to $1.5 trillion over 10 years, with much of the cost offset by a surtax on the wealthy. As Republicans railed against the package, a Senate committee voted on another version of a health care overhaul, becoming the first congressional panel to do so. 

"The proposal amounts to a government takeover of the American economy," Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., said of the House version, pledging that his party would oppose it. 

But Democrats, and especially Obama, are set on passing a health care overhaul soon -- whether Republicans are on board or not. 

Obama plans to make a public statement on his goals Wednesday afternoon, as his allies on Capitol Hill press to pass a bill through both chambers in the coming weeks.

Iraqi Palestinians to be moved to Mexifornia (Gee, thanks Obama!)

The State Department confirmed today that as many as 1,350 Iraqi Palestinians – once the well-treated guests of Saddam Hussein and now at outs with much of Iraqi society – will be resettled in the US, mostly in southern California, starting this fall.

It will be the largest-ever resettlement of Palestinian refugees into the US – and welcome news to the Palestinians who fled to Iraq after 1948 but who have had a tough time since Mr. Hussein was deposed in 2003. Targeted by Iraqi Shiites, the mostly-Sunni Palestinians have spent recent years in one of the region's roughest refugee camps, Al Waleed, near Iraq's border with Syria.

"Really for the first time, the United States is recognizing a Palestinian refugee population that could be admitted to the US as part of a resettlement program," says Bill Frelick, refugee policy director at Human Rights Watch in Washington.

Given the US's past reluctance to resettle Palestinians – it accepted just seven Palestinians in 2007 and nine in 2008 – the effort could ruffle some diplomatic feathers.

Besides the specific problem of welcoming to our shores people who danced in the streets at the destruction of the Twin Towers, there's the more general issue of resettling as refugees people who have somewhere else to go. There are 21 members of the Arab League, other than Iraq, that could take these Palestinians, and if they don't want to (and they don't) then we should apply pressure to our "friends" in the Arab world to make them do so. Resettlement in America, regardless of the total numbers (and I obviously prefer lower numbers), should be reserved only for those who can't stay where they are and will never have anywhere else to go. Many, perhaps most, of those resettled here as refugees don't fit that description, these Palestinians being simply the latest example.

And anyway, during the first couple of years after the invasion, when we ruled Iraq essentially alone, why didn't we just grant these Palestinians Iraqi citizenship? It would have solved their statelessness and maybe shamed the other Arab countries that deny citizenship even to the native-born grandchildren of Palestinians who live there. Does anyone know whether it was even considered?

The release of the Irbil Five is a continuation of a shameful policy.

There are a few things you need to know about President Obama’s shameful release on Thursday of the “Irbil Five” — Quds Force commanders from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) who were coordinating terrorist attacks in Iraq that have killed hundreds — yes, hundreds — of American soldiers and Marines. 

First, of the 4,322 Americans killed in combat in Iraq since 2003, 10 percent of them (i.e., more than 400) have been murdered by a single type of weapon alone, a weapon that is supplied by Iran for the singular purpose of murdering Americans. As Steve Schippert explains at NRO’s military blog, the Tank, the weapon is “the EFP (Explosively Formed Penetrator), designed by Iran’s IRGC specifically to penetrate the armor of the M1 Abrams main battle tank and, consequently, everything else deployed in the field.” Understand: This does not mean Iran has killed only 400 Americans in Iraq. The number killed and wounded at the mullahs’ direction is far higher than that — likely multiples of that — when factoring in the IRGC’s other tactics, such as the mustering of Hezbollah-style Shiite terror cells.

Second, President Bush and our armed forces steadfastly refused demands by Iran and Iraq’s Maliki government for the release of the Irbil Five because Iran was continuing to coordinate terrorist operations against American forces in Iraq (and to aid Taliban operations against American forces in Afghanistan). Freeing the Quds operatives obviously would return the most effective, dedicated terrorist trainers to their grisly business.
Third, Obama’s decision to release the five terror-masters comes while the Iranian regime (a) is still conducting operations against Americans in Iraq, even as we are in the process of withdrawing, and (b) is clearly working to replicate its Lebanon model in Iraq: establishing a Shiite terror network, loyal to Iran, as added pressure on the pliant Maliki to understand who is boss once the Americans leave. As the New York Times reports, Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, put it this way less than two weeks ago:

Iran is still supporting, funding, training surrogates who operate inside of Iraq — flat out. . . . They have not stopped. And I don’t think they will stop. I think they will continue to do that because they are also concerned, in my opinion, [about] where Iraq is headed. They want to try to gain influence here, and they will continue to do that. I think many of the attacks in Baghdad are from individuals that have been, in fact, funded or trained by the Iranians.

Fourth, President Obama’s release of the Quds terrorists is a natural continuation of his administration’s stunningly irresponsible policy of bartering terrorist prisoners for hostages. As I detailed here on June 24, Obama has already released a leader of the Iran-backed Asaib al-Haq terror network in Iraq, a jihadist who is among those responsible for the 2007 murders of five American troops in Karbala. While the release was ludicrously portrayed as an effort to further “Iraqi reconciliation” (as if that would be a valid reason to spring a terrorist who had killed Americans), it was in actuality a naïve attempt to secure the reciprocal release of five British hostages — and a predictably disastrous one: The terror network released only the corpses of two of the hostages, threatening to kill the remaining three (and who knows whether they still are alive?) unless other terror leaders were released.

Michael Ledeen has reported that the release of the Irbil Five is part of the price Iran has demanded for its release in May of the freelance journalist Roxana Saberi. Again, that’s only part of the price: Iran also has demanded the release of hundreds of its other terror facilitators in our custody. Expect to see Obama accommodate this demand, too, in the weeks ahead.

Finally, when it comes to Iran, it has become increasingly apparent that President Obama wants the mullahs to win.

Obama's such a douchebag that he can't even be discreet. I know all men look but the smart ones are never this obvious. I love the way my boyfriend, Sarkozy, is amused by Obama. He's probably thinking that if he were married to Blackie-O he'd be leering the same way. Ah, Blackie-O. Now that my friends, is the silver lining in this. I concur with the angle of the film. Our schools and universities are intentionally failing the students to turn their minds into skulls full of mush. State-sponsored indoctrination in the form of public education has been going on in this country since about 1840 (highly recommend The Underground History of American Education by John Taylor Gatto). By the time the teachers and the professors are done mind-f****** them, the students are not able to see danger even if it were right in front of them. An invading army could waltz right in, and half the country would not only surrender, they would condemn their own military for defending them and roll out the red carpet for the conquerors. This is how subversion from within works, like Bezmenov says: Demoralization, Destabilization, Crisis and then Civil War or Invasion followed by "Normalization" (Oppression). The KGB perfected this plan - our academy is carrying it out. For those who doubt this - why is socialism advocated so heartily and universally among elites? Has it EVER worked? Yes it works, at deluding the masses into believing in EQUALITY - which turns into an equality of poverty and oppression. Bringing Up The Rear on the Fourth of July

Every year, in my little community, we have a Fourth of July parade. It is led by local firemen in a giant fire truck, complete with flashing lights and the rest of the parade is mostly children on bicycles and families in golf carts, all carefully and painstakingly decorated in red, white, and blue. It is a singularly joyful and heat-warming event that I look forward to every year. Standing outside of the garage, awaiting the parade this year, I noticed my husbands motorcycle (the one I refuse to ride on until my children and grown and independent) and decided we should hop on and join the parade. My mister is nothing if not spontaneous and quickly grabbed a small American flag, taped it to the motorcycle and off we went to join the parade. We caught up with the it just as it was beginning and we made the entire loop through the neighborhood bringing up the rear of the parade, far back enough that we didn't make the children uneasy with the roar of the engine. The fourth of July is my very favorite day of the year in my neighborhood. As corny as it may be, my heart grows full at the sight of the houses decorated with flags and people dressed in red, white, and blue.

The Republican Jewish Coalition, John Thune and Me

Some months back, I became a member of the Republican Jewish Coalition (yes there is such a thing and we have more than three members!) and a few days ago, I helped out at a huge and wonderful event. It was a lovely summer bash at the Lowe's Hotel in Santa Monica. There were more than 300 attendees, among them David Horowitz, Senator John Thune, (who spoke on Iran, the US and our future), Evan Sayet (who did the funniest stand up I have seen in years) and John Ratzenberger, whose speech I missed. Let me just say this about my new friend, John Thune, he is ridiculously handsome, personable and smart. In that order! He was there with his brother and sister-in-law, who live in SoCal. I spoke at length with his brother and sister-in-law and I wish we could just clone the entire family. These people were brought up with the best American values and Christian morals and it shows. I suspect John Thune will at some point become a candidate and very serious contender for President and after having a brief chat with him and hearing him speak, I think he would be great for my country. And not just because he is lovely to look at. I just hope my boyfriend, Charles Krauthammer isn't the jealous type. I consider myself very lucky that my mister is not. But then, he knows I'm not going anywhere. No matter how delicious my 'boyfriends' are!

As the summer begins, White House watchers have spotted a new look by President Obama: The Evil Eye!

Staffers have joked about the menacing glance, which comes when the president meets with world leaders who are not aligned with his progressive view.

White House photographers have captured the "evil eye" in recent weeks, during sessions with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Colombia's Alvaro Uribev.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi got hit with the commander's malocchio last week in the Oval office.

And at least one White House reporter has been on the receiving end of the daggers during a press conference.

John Dubose, an American in Honduras, Writes to Obama

An Open Letter to President Obama and Mrs. Clinton from Honduras

Dear Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton;

I am a missionary here in Honduras for the past 13 years. I am also a retired Air Force Master Sergeant of 22 years. My pride and devotion to our country, I believe, is unquestionable. However, you have made me ashamed, not of my country, but of its leaders, specifically you. How could you possibly make such a rash and irresponsible decision to support a “would be” dictator and Hugo Chavez follower without taking even a moment to investigate the overwhelming evidence that repudiates his lies?

You are, by your irresponsible statements of support for this man, bringing the whole world against a country that has modeled itself after the United States and is doing everything it can to prevent Mr. Chavez from having another foothold in Latin America. It seems as though you want to help a dictator instead of a lawful, democratic government that has been a US ally for generations. What are you thinking?

Mr. President and Madam Secretary please take some time and see that you are on the wrong side of this? If you follow the current course you will destroy a wonderful, free, God fearing, democracy that has lined itself up with the same values as you preach. This is a matter for the Honduran government to handle not you! They followed their constitution to the letter and have the right to continue in the way that they decide, not what the UN thinks.

If you will take a moment and look you will see that Mr. Zelaya was given the opportunity to face his accusers in court, but he chose to resign and go to Costa Rica. He was not sequestered! Most of the “rioters” that have been seen on the news are not Hondurans, but people coming in from Nicaragua to stage things for the cameras. Eighty to ninety percent of Hondurans are behind their government and do not want Mr. Zelaya back here. Would you want him as your President? He is just another puppet of Hugo Chavez.

I listened to another American friend yesterday who has been here for many years longer than I. He said that the Generals were simply following orders of the Congress and they are devastated that the US, you Mr. President, has turned its back on them. He said that these Generals had tears in their eyes as they realized that what they had believed about the U.S. was not true.

There are many other Americans here, Sir, that are extremely disappointed and angry with you two. You are not only on the wrong side, but you have put us in danger. For the most part the Honduran people are a loving and caring people.&n bsp; They have accepted and even loved us into their culture and family. However, there is a minority of folks here that will see us as the enemy just because of your statements backing this man.

I have married a wonderful Honduran lady and we have two great kids here, but you have put all of us in a position of defending your actions that have no defense. Even if my son comes in and says that someone hit him, my first question is “why, what did you do to provoke the action.” Did you even give Honduras that respect by asking Mr. Zelaya what he did?

All that I and the rest of the American here, along with seven million Hondurans are asking is that you investigate what happene d before you make any more rash statements and that you not allow Mr. Chavez to try and put Mr. Zelaya back in office by force. This will cause a backlash that could cost you a lot more than just having to read my letter.

Honduras does not have the biggest Armed Force in the world, but I know many of them and I know that they are ready to fight to defend their country Mr. President.

Please Mr. President and Madam Secretary think before you speak. You influence the entire world with your words, sometimes it is for the good, but this time it was for the bad and you must stop it before disaster comes to Honduras!
