"None of the four wars in my lifetime came about because we were too strong. It's weakness that invites adventurous adversaries to make mistaken judgments. America is the most peaceful, least warlike nation in modern history. We are not the cause of all the ills of the world. We're a patient and generous people. But for the sake of our freedom and that of others, we cannot permit our reserve to be confused with a lack of resolve."
Ronald Reagan (1984)
I used to occasionally listen to Howard Stern back during the "Marion Barry, mayor for life who was set up by the bitch in the cocaine sting!". He once said, when questioned about an upcoming execution, "the guy may not be guilty of this, but he's probably done enough other bad stuff that he needs to be put to death." (Or something very close to that!) I'm glad he's had "an awakening" and hope his message spreads to others on the lib side of the aisle!

I always thought that he had libertarian views on some issues. I wonder if any of his listeners will reconsider their views now.

I used to listen to him, too. He was always funny and had good guests. I guess I stopped listening when I homeschooled the little guy and couldn't very well have him hear the shoe! Anyway, I, too, thought he was quite libertarian. I pray he brings home this message to his listeners, who must be mostly liberals, I imagine.

There's another copy of this on youtube dated August 2008. I think the context was the Sirius/XM merger being possibly derailed at the time.
